Social Skills Assessment and Instructional Unit


 

Using the guidance provided in the link titled "Social skills" on www.BehaviorAdvisor.com, conduct an assessment of one of your students.  Then develop an instructional unit for teaching one missing/deficient social skill.

The report on the assessment is missing or superficial.  The instructional unit appears unrelated to the assessment of the student.  The unit is poorly planned, badly explained, and/or disjointed in sequence.  The report on the assessment is adequate, but lacking detail and description.  The instructional unit is superficially connected to the assessment of the student.  The unit is sketched out, but lacks detail; is  superficially explained; and/or is slightly disjointed in sequence. 
 The report on the assessment is descriptive and well presented.  The instructional unit is well connected to the assessment of the student.  The unit is sequenced, well explained and somewhat detailed.
The report on assessment is detailed and descriptive.  The instructional unit is directly connected to the assessment of the student.  The unit is well sequenced, with detailed explanations. 
The writing style and mechanics are not yet acceptable for graduate work. Writing style and mechanics are adequate but need improvement. Writing style and mechanics are generally correct. Writing style and mechanics are at a high level.
