Conferences that Focus Specifically On Students with Behavior Disorders
Want to get reinvigorated? Attending a conference, meeting other professionals who work with our kids, attending sessions and conversing with "the experts" can re-energize us. It's great to return to the classroom with new ideas to try out. Ask your district if they have some money to help you with travel/registration expenses. Some districts will pay for you to attend conferences if you are presenting a session at it. Some conferences offer college credit or "cu's".
Hey!...Why not devise a workshop with a colleague and present some of the things that work for you? Then look through the web sites and journals of the professional groups you see below to find out when the next conference is being held (and the date by which you must submit your proposal to present at it). It's time to share your tips with others.
